Taj Mahal

The Taj Mahal is located in Agra and is a massive palace made out of white marble. This was built in between 1632 and 1653 by the order of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. Shah Jahan wanted to get this palace built in memory of his wife. This is one of the masterpieces of Mughal architecture and one of the greatest tourist attractions in India.
Lotus Temple

The Lotus Temple is located in Delhi and is built in the shape of a lotus flower. This temple was completed in the year 1986 and is built of pure white marble. The architecture of this temple was Furiburz Sabha and he made this temple in the shape of a lotus to symbolize the buddhist, hindu, jain and muslim religion. Around the petals are nine pools of water.
Gateway Of India

The gateway of India is one of the most unique landmarks in India. This is located in Mumbai and constructed in the year 1924. This was built to symbolize the visit of King George V and Queen Mary and the Gateway of India is a colonial symbol.

Qutb Minar

Qutb Minar is a soaring, 73 meter tower of victory. This was built in the year 1193 by Qutab-ud-din right after the defeat of Delhi’s last Hindu Kingdom. This tower has five storeys, marked by a balcony. The first three storeys are made out of red sandstone and the fourth and fifth is made out of marble and sandstone.
Ganges

The ganges river is a great river of the plains of northern India. This is known as the holy river of the hindu religion. Indians believe that if you take a bath or even dip any part of your body in this river, all your sins or bad things you did are forgiven. The length of this river is 1,560 miles and is relatively short compared to the other rivers in the world.
India Gate

At the center of Delhi stands the 42 meter tall India Gate. This gate commemorates the 70,000 Indian soldiers who lost their fighting for the British Army during World War I.
Humayun's Tomb

This is the Humayun’s Tomb that looks more like a palace. This is located in the eastern part of Delhi and is one of the best preserved Mughal monuments. This tomb was built in the remembrance of where Humayun’s ancestor was buried.
Agra Fort

The Agra Fort is located on the right bank of river Yamuna in the city of Agra in Uttar Pradesh. This was constructed by the third Mughal emperor. It can be described as the walled city.
Amer Fort

The Amer Fort situated in Amber is 11 kilometers from the city Jaipur. This is one of the most famous forts in Rajasthan. This is an old fort built in 1592 by Raja Man Singh. This fort is also known as the Amer Palace and built in red sandstone.
