Day 7: Today was my last day in India and my flight back to America was tonight. So today I had decided to go visit the Ganges River. I had woke up at 8:00 since I went to bed early yesterday. At 9:00 I went to go eat breakfast at the hotel and their breakfast was amazing. At 10:00 I took a rickshaw to go to the Ganga River. The Ganga River is known as the holy river of the hindu religion. Indians believe that if you take a bath or even dip any part of your body in this river, all your sins or bad things you did are forgiven. The length of this river is 1,560 miles and is relatively short compared to the other rivers in the world. So, I was super excited to swim in this river because all my sins would wash away. I had bought an extra pair of clothes because I didn’t want to stay in the wet clothes. At 4:00 I headed back to my hotel and was all ready to leave India and go back to America. My flight was at 6:00 and it would take 23 hours to reach Illinois. So I ate dinner at the hotel and took a taxi and went to the airport. Overall, my trip was amazing and memorable.
